About the Firm
Stewart Engineering, Inc. is a responsible, ethical geotechnical engineering firm with extensive experience throughout the Hawaiian Islands and a 35 year track record of accomplishing projects on time and within our budget.
We have completed over 850 projects in the State of Hawaii without any lawsuits or claims filed against our firm. Our main office and laboratory are in Kailua, Oahu, and we maintain full-time personnel on the Big Island with project experience on Maui and Kauai.
Our largest project to date is a 1,000-acre phased development on Oahu that has included single-family and multi-family housing, roads, bridges, a championship golf course, and a large marina.
Failure Investigations
We are retained to investigate, evaluate, and provide remedial designs for structures that have failed or are distressed from ground and foundation-related causes.
Founder and president Kenneth F. Stewart, P.E., J.D., is frequently called upon to serve as an expert consultant in construction failure cases.
Local Expertise
Stewart Engineering, Inc. is familiar with highly variable soils on all Hawaiian Islands, including valleys prone to landslides on Oahu and the widespread presence of problematic expansive clays.
